Deal Envy - Beringea exits Third Bridge to private equity

Beringea has achieved its latest exit selling Third Bridge to private equity house IK Investments.  Third Bridge provides primary research and market intelligence to over 300 financial services clients globally. It employs 550 people across six offices, led by chief executive officer and co-founder Emmanuel Tahar.  The deal has provided positive returns.

The company has seen impressive turnover growth rising from £49m in 2015 to £67m in 2016 in the latest accounts filed at Companies House.  Gross profits increased in the same period from £37m to just under £50m.  It has grown out of London into New York, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Mumbai and has over 300 clients providing primary research through industry experts and market research to help their clients understand potential investment opportunities.

Beringea's support for Third Bridge is an exemplar for how early stage venture capital can help a business to grow into an international success story.  This is the sort of company that will be so valuable to the UK as we enter a post Brexit world and look to trade outside the EU.
