Unicef: Building Young Futures
Emma Sinclair, Unicef UK's first business mentor gave a rousing speech to encourage us to support young entrepreneurs across the world at the UK Business Angel Awards last week. We were showed a heart-warming video at the Awards which showed just how much good we can do by helping young people to become educated and trained in business skills across the world and especially in the third world.
Building Young Futures was launched in 2008 and has so far given 600,000 young people across 13 countries improved education opportunities; financial, employment and enterprise skills; and support to manage their money. Skilling up the world's young people in countries facing economic challenges does an enormous amount of good. I cannot think of a more worthwhile cause to support this month as so many of us get to spend time in the holidays with our own children.
