“The way in which London’s professionals meet, work and grow their networks is changing, increasing demand for flexible work space. The Clubhouse occupies a unique position in this growing market between serviced offices, coworking locations and traditional members clubs, and we are excited to be supporting this ambitious team in the next stage of their growth.”
- Joanna Scott, principal at BOOST&Co
The flexible workspace market has grown exponentially over recent years, fuelled by demand from the changing way in which people now work, the growth in the number of businesses being started and the reduction in corporate growth cycles. In offering SMEs and corporates who have offices outside of central London, a central London base, The Clubhouse provides a unique, award-winning solution. The Clubhouse is currently home to some 350 businesses of all shapes and sizes, from almost every industry. Its members and clients span start-ups, scaling up early stage businesses and growing SMEs through to well-known blue chip names such as KPMG, Tesla, Samsung, Morgan Stanley, UBS and BP, all of whom need a flexible, more agile meeting space solution.
"Since launching in 2012 the Clubhouse has grown substantially and today is widely recognised as London’s leading business club, lounge and meeting space. Home to some 350 growing businesses, we have a single aim: to make our members and their businesses more successful. My ambition has always been to open a network of Clubhouses both in London and overseas, building on the success of our Mayfair and St James’s locations, so I am delighted that BOOST&Co share this vision and are backing us to open two new locations”.
- Adam Blaskey, CEO at The Clubhouse
Whilst funding from Boost will allow The Clubhouse to open two new locations, the business expects to have a network of 8-10 Clubhouses across London over the next few years along with openings in the major business hubs around the world, so wherever its members are for business, The Clubhouse is there for them. Priding itself on making its members and their businesses more successful, The Clubhouse decided to open its next location in The City as this is where almost 50% of its members have asked The Clubhouse to open.
The Clubhouse was founded in 2012 by Adam Blaskey, who was frustrated with meeting important clients in uninspiring, unproductive places around London. This ignited the idea to create a better way to do business and to fill the gap between a serviced office and meeting in hotel lobbies or coffee shops. Today the business has two locations in St. James’s and Mayfair and funding provided by BOOST&Co will be used to fund two new sites, the first of which will open at Angel Court in the City this coming October.
