The Best Ever SME EU grant

On 18 February 2016 applications will close for Eurostars grant within the Eureka programme. 

The Rural Growth Programme (RGP) provides funding to help projects in England which create jobs and help rural economic growth. It runs until 2020.

A combination of Innovate UK and the new round of Horizon 2020 and what are called ERA-Net Grants mean that if you are involved in energy in any conceivable form the money is there for the asking

RGF Rounds 5 and 6

Eurostars is aimed predominantly at research intensive SMEs carrying out near to market R&D into highly innovative products, processes or services. Outcomes are expected to be commercialised within at least 2 years.

The Technology Strategy Board and BIS are funding a £1.1m Small Business Research Initiative (SBRI) in exploratory studies into the design of technology-based products and services that will improve learning outcomes.

Heavy weight grants for Energy related research

The Government is doing it very best to support innovative energy R&D in the UK. Thus a new scheme, the Energy Catalyst follows on from such schemes as the Energy Entrepreneurs scheme and various support measures for specific technologies e.g. Off-shore wind, marine power and carbon capture.
