Technology Strategy Board Announces Launchpad Showcase Events

A series of events to allow successful companies in three Launchpad competitions to showcase themselves to potential investors will be happening this Autumn.  

The Technology Strategy Board's Launchpad competitions are designed to support innovative SMEs in developing clusters around the UK by offering grants for innovative R&D projects, combined with a structured programme of business and investment support offered through a local 'cluster champion'. 

On 9th October, companies from the Harwell Space Launchpad, who will share £1.1m in grant funding, will showcase themselves to local investors at the Satellite Applications Catapult in Harwell. 

Then on 23rd October, companies from the Digital & Creative Clyde Launchpad, who will share £620,000 in grant funding for their projects, will be showcased at the Radisson Blu hotel in Glasgow. 

And on 6th November it will be the turn of companies from the Materials & Manufacturing North West Launchpad, who share £1.5m in grant funding, to present at an event at the Sci-Tech campus in Daresbury. 

Altogether over 40 innovative technology companies will be showcased at these events, offering some exciting opportunities for business angel, venture capital firms and other funders to consider.
