Albion Community Power funds first Biogas Project 

Albion Community Power (ACP), the local power generation company, announces that it has funded the development of a small scale landfill gas engine in Docking, Norfolk.

Docking will be developed in conjunction with ACP's biogas partner, AlphaGen Renewables, which will oversee the installation and operation of a 50kW microgeneration landfill gas engine. The project will generate power from the landfill gas resource at the site under a 20 year agreement with Norfolk County Council. Docking represents the first project with AlphaGen Renewables and the first Biogas project in the ACP portfolio.

 

 

Pact Coffee raise £2m Series A funding 

The London-based coffee start-up, delivering fresh coffee to subscribers, has announced a £2m funding round, led by MMC Ventures

Pact Coffee, the leading subscription coffee business, has today announced a £2m Series A funding round, led by MMC Ventures. This funding round sees MMC join existing investors Connect Ventures, as well as angel investors Ian Hogarth, founder of Songkick; Robin Klein of Index Ventures; and Rowan Gormley, founder of Naked Wines.

Founded in 2012 by Stephen Rapoport, Pact Coffee delivers freshly roasted coffee from around the world to their community, with the aim of getting the UK drinking better coffee. Based in Bermondsey, the Pact team is 32 strong, as the company has shown significant growth since raising seed funding in March last year. This latest funding round will see a further push around talent, as the business looks to double the eight-person product team.

 

 

Albion Ventures invests in OmPrompt, a market leading cloud provider of customer automation management 

Albion Ventures LLP, one of the UK's leading venture capitalists, today announces that it has invested £2.5m in OmPrompt, provider of the customer automation management solutions that streamline order-to-cash processes for global manufacturing companies.

OmPrompt launched its award-winning cloud-based service in 2005 and now leads the market for customer automation management in the consumer goods, medical device and logistics sectors. Customers include Groupe Danone, Kellogg's, Kimberly-Clark Corporation, Unilever, Medtronic , Smiths Medical and Stryker Corporation.

Maven Capital Partners completes an investment in Crawford Scientific

Leading supplier of scientific products and technical support services partners with Maven to support its growth ambitions.

Maven Capital Partners (Maven), one of the UK's leading Private Equity and Alternative Asset Managers, has announced that it has completed a £3.9m investment in Crawford Scientific (Crawford).  Founder and MD, Sam Crawford will continue to lead the business alongside the senior management team who will become shareholders as part of the transaction.
