Bristow and Patel to go the full nine yeards with Crowdstacker Platform

Innovative financial services product development boutique, Nineyards Capital, announced today its' intention to launch a new electronic investment platform in the fourth quarter of this year.

Crowdstacker will help businesses to take control of their funding requirements and to move away from traditional finance channels by delivering a range of investment products, each offering the transparency and access that the modern investor demands.  The news comes hot on the heels of Chancellor Osborne's launch of 'Innovate Finance' at Canary Wharf's 'Level39' and his announcement of new measures to support the FinTech sector, including plans to allow peer to peer lending in ISAs and incentives to encourage investment start-ups.

Commenting on its' plans, Nineyards Capital Co-Founder and Director, Mark Bristow said: "We are seeing a middle ground emerge in the nascent crowdfunding space, Crowdcube's mini-bond platform amongst the more recent initiatives to launch.  Crowdstacker will come from the peer to peer ('p2p') loan end of the spectrum, and will aim to deliver a collection of the best peer to peer and peer to business ('p2b') loans; each will be underpinned by a compelling story and an equity style investment proposition, and will satisfy the investors' need to be involved in something which is both engaging and exciting."

Bird's the Word:  Developers of patented Synthetic Suttlecock hope to net £130K with the help of equity crowdfunding platform SyndicateRoom

Unlike other synthetic shuttlecocks, Bird's shuttle has been shown to meet performance expectations of top players, AND is capable of enduring several matches played at the highest level without signs of performance degradation

The shuttle will also provide a welcome solution for animal rights campaigners; geese are farmed and plucked alive to provide feathers for many traditional shuttles. No ducks or geese are harmed in the making of Bird's products

SyndicateRoom's unique blended model means just under half of the funds have come from professional investors, with the rest coming from smaller investors investing as little as £10

Designing a better synthetic shuttle has been the holy grail of the Badminton industry for over 60 years. With over 2000 local clubs and roughly five million players in the UK alone, and over two hundred million players churning through shuttlecocks at a rate of between 1 and 20 per match worldwide, the market potential for Bird's products is huge.
